The Universal Robot Bus (URB) is a communication infrastructure that facilitates easy and modular deployment of hardware modules that require real-time communications with a central control authority. This is a frequent need for small robotic systems wherein the management of various subsystems are carried out by dedicated microcontrollers and data has to flow to and from these independent computational entities.
